​​MEET THE JUROR

Mr. Aubrey C. Watson

Aubrey C. Watson is a freelance photographer and writer based in Nashville. He studied color photography at Eastman Kodak, Atlanta and is a graduate of The New York Institute of Photography. He was the staff photographer and cinematographer with the Tennessee Wildlife Resources agency for thirteen years and a commercial photographer for ten years before he began freelancing. He has worked in Scotland, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Central America and from New York to San Francisco.

 

Aubrey has conducted nature photography workshops for Nashville Tech Community College, The Wildlife society and 4-H Club Conservation Camp. He is the author of five books including: Nashville in Photographs (Random House), The Backyard Nature Photographer’s Handbook (Cold Tree Press), The Outdoor Photographer’s Bible (Doubleday & Co, New York) and Nashville Then and Now co-author (Anova Books Group, London, UK). His work has appeared in USA Today, Christian Science Monitor, Wall Street Journal, Southern Living and The Tennessee Conservationist, to mention a few, as well as corporate annual reports. He has received honors from the Nashville Advertising Federation, The South-Eastern Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and the American Association of Conservation Information. His Latest self-published book is The Backyard Nature Photographer available exclusively from Amazon, eBook and Paperback.
