Back in the
Day
What began in 2001 as a shared vision among a handful of passionate artists has grown into a thriving collective that includes Full Artist and Emeritus Members.
DAC first opened its doors in July 2002, upstairs at 103 Franklin Street, above what was then The Front Page Deli. Just a few years later, in February 2004, the gallery found its permanent home at 96 Franklin Street in the heart of historic downtown Clarksville—where it continues to inspire, showcase, and support the creative spirit of the region.
We Hosts Many Events
Each year, DAC hosts a variety of events, including art exhibitions, workshops, and community gatherings that foster engagement and appreciation for the arts. Visitors can enjoy diverse artwork from our talented member artists, ranging from paintings and sculptures to mixed media and photography.

We invite everyone to explore our gallery, participate in our events, and support local artists by purchasing original works. Together, we can continue to nurture the vibrant art scene in Clarksville.
Pleinair (Frolic on Franklin)
Our first sponsored event, "Art in the Streets," was conceived as a street festival featuring artwork displays, artist demonstrations, and musical performances on Franklin Street between 1st and 2nd Streets. This event, held annually from April 2002-2004, evolved into the annual "Frolic on Franklin," organized by the Downtown Clarksville Association (DCA).
