Clarksville's 1st Thursday
Join us monthly on 1st Thursday where local art galleries and businesses open their doors for extended hours showcasing local artists.
Q: What is it all about.
A: Every month, several businesses and art galleries offer new curated exhibitions of local art and locally inspired art. It is a time when we collectively celebrate our community, creativity, and culture.
With wine in hand, stroll though Clarksville’s new Downtown Entertainment District visit each venue. Every location is a different experience.

Q: Art is so expensive... great art is not cheap and cheap art is not great...
A: We agree; that is why all artists have been vetted. We pride ourselves on offering a wide selection of quality art and craftwork. We recommend a visit; we would love to meet you.
Q: What is the advantage in attending First Thursday's opening receptions?
A: To name a few: view latest local art work, meet and talk with the artists, hear live music, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and refreshments, experience the exciting atmosphere of the event, enjoy downtown flavors, no parking fee after 5pm, and locate that amazing gift good enough to give yourself.

Q: We want to make an event of it, what else is there to do
A: The area is rich with history. Several buildings downtown are historic. Mounted to the exterior, these structures have a black and white plaque noting what the building looked like years ago, neat to see the history. Speaking of history, a visit to the Roxy Regional Theater is a must as it is an iconic building from days gone by.
Several celebrities have called Clarksville home. Check out our downtown tribute sculpture of Frank Sutton and 2 miles south is the beautiful Wilma Rudolph Event Center. Our new F&M Bank Arena and Ford Ice Center host events for virtually every age group. One of the best kept secrets in Downtown Clarksville is the amazing boutique shopping; hand-crafted, high-quality gifts you didn’t know you needed. Topped off with exceptional local cuisine offering various flavors and settings Note, reservations may be needed. There is so much more than what we highlighted; we recommend a visit to Visit Clarksville for a comprehensive view of Clarksville and Montgomery County.
