About the event
World Collage Day is an annual international celebration of collage held on the second Saturday in May, originally initiated by Kolaj Magazine in 2018. It's a chance to create in community — to come together and make something whole from a sum of parts no one could have imagined alone. Artists of all ages and experience levels are warmly welcomed.
Join Downtown Artist Cooperative (DAC) artist Carmen Rein for a fun-filled day of artistic expression, discovery, and inspiration. Whether you're a seasoned collagist or picking up a glue stick for the first time, this is your opportunity to explore the art form and connect with fellow makers.
Demonstrations will be held on the hour, featuring a rotating selection of collage techniques, including:
Matchbook Collage
Tea Bag Collage
Reduction Collage
