Basic Bookmaking with Peggy Bonnington

In this 3-hour basic introductory bookmaking class by DAC artist Peggy Bonnington, you will have the opportunity to learn about and examine essential book forms, techniques, terminology, and tools. Various completed structures will be on hand to view for ideas and inspiration, including pamphlet stitch, accordion fold, Japanese stab binding, flag books, and more. A rich assortment of quality papers and other materials will be available for you to make choices for completing at least two small books of your own.

All tools and materials will be provided, and there will be opportunities to explore creative variations and to help guide the direction of instruction, depending on interest and progress.
