About the event
This exhibition invites you into an intimate conversation across time. Ghosts in the Studio asks what it truly means to make something when we are all, in some way, shaped by the artists who came before us — the Renaissance masters, the Impressionists chasing light, the Abstract Expressionists fracturing form.
Participating DAC members present their signature works alongside a personal "lineage statement" — a candid reflection on the artists or movements woven into their creative DNA. Some carry forward a fixation with color. Others subvert the traditions that first shaped them. Together, these works reveal influence not as imitation, but as living dialogue.
Alongside each artist's work, you'll find small visual references — a reproduction, a postcard, a page — that name the ghosts haunting the studio. These anchors make the dialogue visible, letting you trace how technique, philosophy, or subject matter travels across generations.
