About the event
Learn the rich traditional art of JAPANESE STAB BINDING, a lovely book form dating back to Japan's Edo period (1602-1867).
We'll begin with the classic 4-Hole Binding (Yotsume Toji) and may explore more intricate stitch patterns, including Noble Binding, Tortoise Shell Binding, and Hemp Leaf Binding.
No experience is necessary. All tools and materials are provided, including a copious selection of Japanese washi and various other fine art papers. Save your place early, as space is limited and timely notice assists in preparation.
