About the event
Explore the expressive possibilities of abstraction in this hands-on mixed media collage workshop led by artist Leah Foote. Limited to 10 participants, this intimate class offers individualized guidance as you learn to apply core design principles and elements to create dynamic mixed-media paintings.
Participants will work on watercolor paper using a combination of watercolor paints, watercolor pencils, collage materials, stencils, and mark-making techniques. The methods taught are designed to strengthen both abstract and non-representational work, offering tools you can continue to use across a wide range of creative practices.
Leah will share examples of her completed work, guide you through a clear step-by-step process, and provide design suggestions to help you build strong, visually engaging compositions. Collage papers, glue, palettes, and marbelizing spray will be supplied, allowing you to focus on experimentation, layering, and discovery.
