About the event
Step into the world of indigo with fiber artist Tamara Darnell Long in this open Shibori dye workshop. Shibori is a traditional Japanese resist-dyeing technique dating back to the 8th century, known for its beautiful, intricate patterns and deep cultural roots.
This session is dedicated to participants continuing existing pieces or starting something new using techniques learned in previous DAC classes. Tamara will supply the dye vats — one indigo vat and up to four fiber-reactive dye vats — while attendees bring their prepared textiles, blocks, and any other supplies they need.
When you register, please email pegscoville@me.com to let us know what you plan to work on. This helps Tamara with prep and setup on the day of the workshop.
